Abstract

Plasma-based actuators have been established as one of the most promising emerging technologies for active flowcontrol in aerodynamic applications. While a broad spectrum of variations and principles are available, the so-called alternating current dielectric barrier discharge plasma actuator (DBDPA) has been the most commonly used in laboratory investigations. Due to the historic prevalence of this type, as well as the considerable body of knowledge available, alternating-current DBDPA have also spearheaded the first experimental field tests
