Description

In 2021, the extensive two-year activity programme ‘Designing Cities For All’ will commence with the support of the Creative Industries Fund NL. Designing Cities for All focusses on the role of designers in shaping and creating cities for and by everyone. In the context of the super-diverse city, how can designers contribute to the creation of inclusive cities for, and by everyone? ‘Cities of Belonging’ as we would call them, cities in which everyone feels and is allowed to feel at home. Not only in a spatial sense but also with regard to the digital domain and relating to the design of our public systems, services, and products.
The bilingual (Dutch and English) activity programme aims to give insights into and provide tools for the inclusive (re)design of the city in all facets for future and current designers who are active in the fields of architecture, graphic and visual communications, industrial design, spatial design, product design, digital design, game design and much more.
In our online research file you can not only find all the recorded livecasts, but also articles, recommended books, updates about activities, and an overview of involved speakers and Designing Cities for All advocates.
