Description
The Bureau of Cultural Heritage (BOCH), the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan will hold the forum on April 15 - 16, 2022. In a highly globalized 21st century, cross-border and cross-domain cultural preservation and cooperation has become a trend. Taiwan has long been committed to promoting participation in iNGOs (international non-governmental organizations) such as the International Commission for the Preservation of Cultural Monuments and Historical Sites (ICOMOS) and the International Commission for the Preservation of Industrial Heritage (TICCIH), and has achieved considerable results; Many experts and scholars also play critical roles in related international organizations such as APCONF (Asia-Pacific Regional Underwater Cultural Assets Seminar) and DOCOMOMO (International Organization for Documentation and Conservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the Modern Movement); In addition, significant contributions have been made towards the International Association of Museums (ICOM) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).This forum is planned to join the aforementioned important iNGOs by introducing groups or individuals in the form of an exchange forum on international cultural preservation and museum-related issues that Taiwan has long been concerned about.
