Victories and Defeats in Ethical Encounters

Description

The DRS Special Interest Group on Design Ethics hosted an online event on Victories and Defeats in Ethical Encounters on 22 September 13:30-15:00 CET.

The objective of this event was to share and learn from our community’s work at the intersection of design and ethics, and to do this in a way that creates room for discussing both victories and defeats. Design is a project-based discipline. Each new project often invites new theoretical and conceptual explorations and new forms of ethical inquiry. Against this backdrop, it is highly likely that designers and design researchers enter critical spaces acknowledging the possibility of making mistakes and commit to learning from them. What are some your victories and defeats in navigating critical spaces in design research, education or practice?
