Webinar: Offsite and Energy Efficient - International Experience
Featuring Dr Thaleia Konstantinou, Professor Deo Prasad and Dr Malay Dave and moderated by Professor Paul Ruyssevelt, the webinar will consider past and present projects focusing on energy efficiency. Reflecting on the lessons learned from these projects, speakers will discuss the future of offsite construction.
From her research in the Netherlands, Dr Thaleia Konstantinou will discuss the challenges of offsite manufacture for low energy retrofit. Exploring success stories such as the Energiesprong, she will also present 2ndSKin, a research project which developed a holistic approach for zero-energy renovation.
Bringing a different perspective, Professor Deo Prasad will explore the state of play of the construction sector in Australia and will highlight the challenges and opportunities arising from it. Discussing recently completed projects as well as upcoming industry-university collaborative research projects, Dr Malay Dave will then provide insights into prefabricated construction in Australia.
