Research profile

Yingtao Sun is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. In collaboration with the University of Cambridge(Improving Improvement Toolkit), she explores system design for health and care transformation and improvement.
Yingtao gradually developed a strong interest in the healthcare design research while pursuing a master's degree at Delft University of Technology. She has participated in multiple healthcare projects for companies and hospitals (e.g. Barco NV, Erasmus Medical Center), exploring healthcare system related topics such as value-based healthcare, remote patient monitoring and digital healthcare.
In her PhD research, she will mainly focus on how system design thinking can bring transformation and improvement to the healthcare system.
