Milieus und ihre Wohnanforderungen: Warum in der Sozialen Stadt wieder mehr gebaut werden muss

This article highlights the importance of socially heterogeneous neighbourhoods in preventing the reproduction of poverty. In this context, differences and similarities between social space and neighbourhood space are highlighted for different groups. It follows that children and young people in particular benefit from a heterogeneous neighbourhood composition. The analysis of the processes and interdependencies of the problems in the neighbourhood finally shows that the intervention points of the Socially Integrative City programme were correctly identified, but that they alone are not suitable for finding a way out of the permanent task of Socially Integrative City. This shows that the resources of other milieus are needed to dissolve the poverty trap of disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
