S.E. Tanzer is a Delft Technology Fellow whose research focuses on carbon removal systems and the complexities of greenhouse gas accounting for those systems. Her current research project is investigating the influence of different assumptions and aspects of accounting for time on models and metrics of removal systems.

Academic background

Dr. Tanzer received a B.A. in Economics from Swarthmore College, a M.Sc. in Industrial Ecology (summa cum laude) jointly from Leiden University and Delft University of Technology, and a PhD (cum laude) from Delft University of Technology on the topic of "Negative Emissions in the Industrial Sector".
