Research profile

Faidon studied Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (Meng, 2020) where he specialized in Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources management. He then in 2021 moved to Netherlands, where in 2023 obtained his MSc Degree in Hydraulic Engineering at the faculty of Civil Engineering of Delft University of Technology. His MSc thesis focused on the modelling of extreme water level and its components for the case of Hook of Holland. After graduating he started his PhD at the Hydraulic Structures and Flood Risk section involved with the “Future FRM Tech” project. His research focuses on developing risk reduction strategies for compound flooding at confluences of main rivers and tributaries.
