Roy van Weerdenburg works as a PhD in the Coastal Engineering section of Delft University of Technology and as a researcher and advisor in Sediment Dynamics at Deltares. He has a MSc degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology (2019), in which he specialized in Coastal Engineering. After his graduation he has started as a researcher and advisor at Deltares. Since 2023, Roy is working on his PhD on sediment dynamics in channel-shoal systems at Delft University of Technology. Parts of his research are based on the collection and analysis of field measurements, but his main focus is on the development and application of process-based numerical models.
