Dr. Zhengxuan Liu has published more than 55 research outputs, including 23 international journal papers (14 of them as the first or corresponding author), 4 invited book chapters, 32 Chinese patents and 2 software copyrights in the fields of Zero-carbon Buildings, Energy Storage, Sustainable Energy, Energy System Modelling, Techno-economic Assessment and Low-carbon Energy Transitions. He has been responsible for 4 projects (including Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships 2021, Approved funding: 203,464.32 €) and participated in more than 6 projects as a core backbone.

He has assisted the co-supervisor to guide 1 PhD and 3 Master students. He is the Guest Editors of Applied Sciences (SCI, Q2, two times) and Processes (SCI, Q2), and he is also the reviewer of more than 15 SCI international journals. In 2022, he has been honored with the Vebleo Fellow (which recognizes researcher or scientist who has prominence and leadership in the field of science, engineering, and technology, and 25-30 researchers are successfully nominated globally each year, with a selected rate of about 18%).
