Abstract

Transition radiation originating under uniform motion of concentrated mechanical object by elastic guide modelled by a string located on the random-inhomogeneous elastic base is considered. Force affecting the object on the string in the direction transversal towards the action is supposed to be preset. It is shown that the effect of transition radiation in this case on the object oscillations is qualitatively equivalent to the effect of dissipation in the guide.
