Academic background

Dr. Wouter Jan Verheul is a senior researcher and lecturer in urban development management at the Department of Management in the Built Environment, Faculty of Architecture, TU Delft. He is also programme manager of the executive Master City Developer (MCD). His PhD thesis (2012) discussed the development of iconic urban projects and his current research focuses on governance of large scale urban projects and their catalytic effects, placemaking, place branding and urban area transformations.

Education:

Wouter Jan is a program leader of the Master City Developer (MCD) a two-year parttime master program for urban professionals working on strategic levels. Apart from this he is a lecturer in the initial masterprogram Management in the Built Environment (MBE) and visiting lecturer at several universities.
